Date Change: June's School Board meetings on new nights
The June Committee of the Whole meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17, and the Voting meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 24, in the Duss Conference Room, Administrative Offices, 1800 Mt. Royal Blvd. 
Congratulations to our Girls Lacrosse team - WPIAL Champions!
Congratulations to Coach Perestock and our Shaler Area Girls Lacrosse team on a 10-5 Victory over Blackhawk and their 3rd consecutive WPIAL Championship.  
Feasibility and Facility Study meeting set for May 27
Shaler Area School District families are invited to a special Feasibility and Facility Study meeting on Wednesday, May 27, at 7 p.m. in the Shaler Area Middle School auditorium, located at 1810 Mt. Royal Blvd. 
Summer STEAM Camp 2015
Shaler Area School District is excited to announce the 3rd Summer STEAM Camp for students currently in Grades 3-7. The camp will feature sessions that focus on science, technology, engineering, arts and math and will be from June 15-18. 
Kindergarten Registration 2015-2016
If you have a child who will be five (5) years of age ON or BEFORE August 31, 2015 your child is eligible to attend Kindergarten.  
Transportation request to an alternate childcare location due by Aug. 14
District families requesting transportation to/from an alternate childcare location for the 2015-2016 school year will need to complete the formal request form and return it by Aug. 14, 2015. 
BrightBytes Student Survey
As we continue to work towards excellence in our district we are looking to gather data relevant to the use of Educational Technologies throughout the district. During the months of May and June 2015 students in Grades 4-11 will be asked to participate in this survey.  
Spring Concert Series runs through April and May
Join the band, orchestra and chorus students this spring for an evening of musical entertainment during the Shaler Area School District Music Department's Spring Concert Series. 
High School teacher Jade Leung named finalist for state Teacher of the Year
Shaler Area School District is proud to announce Jade Leung, a Shaler Area High School science teacher, has been named one of 12 finalists for the state Teacher of the Year award. 
AmeriCorps Teaching Position
One year full time teaching position at the primary or elementary level to provide reading and math interventions.

Summer Shootout
The Shaler Summer Shootout is designed to help BOYS and GIRLS learn and enjoy the game of basketball.  
All Night Volleyball Tournament
The Girls Varsity and Junior Varsity Volleyball teams will be hosting their first annual All Night Volleyball Tournament on Friday, May 29th. 
"Future" Titan Football Skills Camp
The Future Titan Skills camp is intended to offer a unique learning experience where teaching is emphasized, individual improvement is the goal, and fun is the outcome.  
Summer Volleyball Camp
Two summer volleyball camps will be offered June 8-12, 2015. One for middle school students in grades 7 and 8 and one for students in grades 2-6.
