School Board Board meeting scheduled for October 20
The Shaler Area Board of School Directors scheduled a Voting Meeting at 7:15 p.m. on October 20, 2021 in person and virtually. The public can participate in the meeting via a virtual platform or via RSVP to participate in person. The location of the meeting is the middle school library. To maintain the capacity limits, in-person participation will be limited to 25 individuals. Face coverings will be required for all in-person participants regardless of vaccination status. Once the in-person attendance capacity is reached, the public may still participate via the virtual platform. Information regarding the specifics of the platform and RSVP form will be posted to the district website on Monday, October 18, 2021.

Three seniors named Commended Students in the 2022 National Merit Scholarship Program
Shaler Area School District is proud to announce three seniors have been named Commended Students in the 2022 National Merit Scholarship Program. Shaler Area High School superintendent Dr. Sean Aiken and principal Dr. Timothy Royall presented Aidan Brophy, Asher King, and Madeline Turner with a letter of commendation from Shaler Area High School and National Merit Scholarship Corporation for their achievement.
