Fourth grade students will work on projects that may include drawing, painting, ceramics, collage and mixed media. All projects are graded with a rubric. Sketchbooks are graded based on completion of in-class assignments.
Criteria for each project is thoroughly discussed and written on the board in steps. Teacher demonstrations are also done on a regular basis. When students are absent, they are given ample time to make up missed work upon return. Sketchbooks and folders are kept in the classroom to ensure organization.
Proper use of media and materials is essential. Proper behavior/on-task behavior is expected.
