Homework Success

Seven Steps to Homework Success

Homework experts have found that there are seven simple steps you need to follow to complete homework successfully.

Write down the homework given by the teacher every day and bring home the books and other things you need.

Choose a good time and place in which you can do your homework.  You should try to do your homework in the same place and at the same time each day.  Having a schedule makes it easier to follow.

Start homework by reading directions and following them carefully.

Plan how you are going to work on hard or long assignments.

Find ways to pay attention, especially when you get bored.  Try to get rid of things that will get your attention when you should be working.

Double-check your work to make sure it is right and finished.

Bring homework to school and turn it in when it is due.

Super important!!  Make an interruption-free rule when you are doing your homework.  No video games, phone calls, television, or music.  These things can take your brain away from your homework!
