"NO NAME CALLING WEEK"--January 15-19, 2018

National "No Name-Calling Week" features different theme days (listed below) and classroom lessons taught by the school counselor all month focusing on accepting differences/diversity.  This is a great week to remind everyone how important it is to help others and be mindful of what is said to others.  Unkind words can leave scars longer than physical  hurt!
Our themes for the week:

Monday: NO SCHOOL—Martin Luther King Jr.’s Birthday

Tuesday: NO SCHOOL –Teacher In-Service Day

Wednesday: Wear favorite clothes to school- To show that “we should be proud and love ourselves the way we are”.

Thursday: Wear mismatched shirt and pants to school- To honor that “we are all different and should appreciate our differences”.

Friday: Wear favorite sports jersey or shirt- To show thatwe are all one team standing united against name calling”.

If you have any questions regarding “No Name Calling Week” please contact Mrs. Lezlie DelVecchio-Marks, school counselor, at 412-492-1200 ext. 4503 or e-mail at delvecchio-marksl@sasd.k12.pa.us
