READING:

The reading series that we use in first grade is called StoryTown. We have four stories remaining in the first grade series.

SPELLING:

The students will be practicing the different vowel patterns in spelling class. I will be reinforcing different strategies to help memorize the spelling words. Spelling tests will be administered on Fridays unless we do not have school. The tests will be given on Thursdays.

MATH:

The students are currently learning how to count change using pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters, and half dollars. After counting money, we will be working with calendars, schedules, and telling time.

2:00-2:45	Math
2:45-3:20	Science/Social Studies/Health

Miss Dugan's Math Homework Schedule

An assessment on math facts will be given on Mondays. If your child passes the test, they will be given a new set of flash cards. If your child does not pass, they will have another week to practice the flash cards.
