The Shaler Area Education Association recognized Shaler Township Police Department Det. Shawn Stelitano as this year’s Friend of Education.

The Friend of Education award program is sponsored by the Pennsylvania State Educator’s Association to recognize an individual who has contributed to education.

Det. Stelitano, who also is a parent in the district, has worked in collaborative efforts with the Shaler Area administration and staff to help ensure the welfare and safety of our students.
