Starting in the 2016-17 school year, Shaler Area launched Student Advisory Committees throughout the District buildings to provide students with the opportunity to meet with the Superintendent and Central Office administrators on a consistent basis and talk about what they see as the District’s strengths and areas of growth from a student perspective.
The committees meet three times per year during students' lunch times with the goal of giving students more of a voice as the District continues to make improvements.
