Shaler Area cheerleaders made it to finals in the UCA High School Nationals competition, medium varsity division, and finished 15th our of 57 teams. In the high-stakes competition, only 6.1 points separated Shaler Area from the first place team.
The Shaler Area squad also was invited to compete in the High School Worlds where they earned a silver medial by finishing second in the medium varsity division.
