Shaler Area School District is proud to welcome Sherri L. Ludwig, CPA as the new Director of Business Affairs.

Shaler Area School Board approved Ms. Ludwig, the current business manager at North Allegheny School District, as the district's Director of Business Affairs during the voting meeting on Wednesday, March 16. Ms. Ludwig’s contract runs from May 1 through June 30, 2020.

“We are very pleased to welcome Ms. Ludwig to Shaler Area as the new Director of Business Affairs,” said Mr. Sean Aiken, Superintendent.

“Ms. Ludwig comes to Shaler Area with an extensive financial background that includes experience incorporating best practices in all aspects of district operations and experience in long-range financial planning which will be an asset to the district as we continue to create a more fiscally responsible and operationally efficient district.”

Ms. Ludwig has more than 30 years experience in corporate and educational finance. Ms. Ludwig has served the previous 15 years of her career in the finance department at North Allegheny School District most recently as business manager.

“I am very excited to join Shaler Area School District’s administrative team as the Director of Business Affairs,” said Ms. Ludwig. “I’m looking forward to working with the administration and staff to continue to move the district forward."

Ms. Ludwig has a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Penn State University and is a certified public accountant.
