The Shaler Area School District is proud to announce that Margaret Rea, a student at
Shaler Area High School, is a National Merit Finalist. Rea is one of 15,000 National Merit Scholarship Finalists selected from the 1.5 million high school students who enter the National Merit Scholar program across the country.
This is a significant academic achievement and reflects the dedication of Rea. Shauna Hunt, School Counselor, shared, “Margaret has a positive outlook, an exceptional work ethic, and sets high goals for herself. I am confident she will find success in whatever she chooses to pursue!”
On March 16th, 2022, Rea was presented with a certificate of accomplishment by Dr. Sean Aiken, Superintendent of Schools; Dr. Bryan O’Black, Deputy Superintendent of Schools; and Dr. Tim Royall, Principal of Shaler Area High School.
