What to expect at the event:
The event will be set up as a town, complete with street signs and a map. When families enter the event, they will be in "Titan Town Square.” In this area of the event, they will receive information on 143 Day, pick out inspirational buttons (made by middle school and high school volunteers) and pour unifying sand into the district sand jar. Each school will be represented by a different sand color and when the students enter, they will pour a scoop of their school color into the jar

Other destinations at the event include:
Story Street – At this station, students will participate in a short ice breaker to get to know each other. Then there will be a story centered around the themes of kindness, belonging and individuality read every 20 minutes. There will also be a traveling puppet theater and puppet making run by a middle school teacher and students.

Imagination Avenue – Students will add their own personal artistic touch to a "We are ALL WELCOME in Titan Town" banner. They will also decorate kindness rocks to be "hidden" around Shaler Area for other students and residents to find throughout the summer. Students can also decorate cards that will be given to refugees at this station.

Caring Boulevard – Students and families will learn techniques to care for themselves, participate in yoga, create calming bottles, and have access to mental health resources in this area of the event.

Music Way – Students and families will sing music from Mr. Rogers ("It's You I Like", "There Are Many Ways to Say I Love You") and move their bodies to family friendly music. There will also be a maker station in this area to create instruments.

Sensory Room – Building on the idea of inclusivity, there will be a sensory room available for students with special needs at the event. The room will be staffed by a Shaler Area teacher and it will be a space where students can go for a break from the other activities.
