Burchfield Primary recognized at annual ASCA conference

Earlier this month, Burchfield Primary School was recognized at the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) Annual Conference in Austin, Texas, as a Recognized ASCA Model Program (RAMP).

The RAMP designation recognizes schools that are committed to delivering a comprehensive, data-informed school counseling program and an exemplary educational environment.  Burchfield Primary is one of 69 schools in 19 states—and the only school in Pennsylvania—to receive the RAMP designation this year. Additionally, Burchfield Primary received the RAMP School of Distinction award, honoring schools with exceptionally high-caliber school counseling programs based on rankings determined by a panel of RAMP reviewers. The RAMP designation is good for five years.

Lezlie DelVecchio-Marks, school counselor at Burchfield Primary, accepted the recognition on behalf of the school. Mrs. DelVecchio-Marks also was recognized as one of five school counselors to receive ASCA-certification in 2022.
