Shaler Area School District has an exciting opportunity for current 2nd through 5th graders this summer. Shaler Area will host two FREE coding camps: one for students in grades 2-3 and one for students in grades 4-5.
CODING CAMP
For students currently in grades 2-3
Shaler Area School District will be offering a FREE Coding Camp presented by STEM Coding Lab for any SASD student in 2nd or 3rd grade. The STEM Coding Camp will take place at Scott Primary School in the computer lab. Camp will run June 21-24 from 8:30-10:30 a.m. Registration is limited to 30 students on a first-come-first-served basis.
STEM Coding Lab Registration Grades 2-3:
APP DESIGN CAMP
For students currently in grades 4-5
Shaler Area School District will be offering a FREE App Design Camp presented by STEM Coding Lab for any SASD student currently in 4th or 5th grade. The camp will work on app development. The students will become app designers and learn how to develop an app from an idea, to a prototype, to a fully functional interactive app. The STEM Coding Camp will take place at Scott Primary School in the computer lab. Camp will run June 28-July 1 from 10:00-12:00. Registration is limited to 30 students on a first-come-first-served basis.
