Shaler Area is proud to announce Shaler Area High School senior Connor Schneck was accepted into the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association District 1 Honors Jazz Band.
Connor, who plays the trumpet, was selected for this ensemble in December from a pool of hundreds of students who auditioned for PMEA Honors Jazz Band at Seton Hill University.
The PMEA District 1 Honors Jazz Band Festival will be held at Seton Hill University on February 4-5, 2022. This festival is comprised of students from 54 districts in Allegheny, Washington, Westmoreland, Greene and Fayette County. The two guest conductors are: Mr. Joe Sheller, music educator and freelance jazz musician, and Mr. Clint Bleil, composer, freelance saxophonist, visiting Assistant Professor of Music at Washington and Jefferson College, as well
