Three Shaler Area High School Athletes Sign National Letters of Intent



On Friday, January 7, three Titan cross country runners signed national letters of intent to run collegiately. 

  1. Samantha Hennen has committed to attend Kennesaw State University located Marietta, Georgia. She plans to major in exercise science or nursing.
  2. Ryan Paris will study at Robert Morris University and run for the Colonials. He plans to major in Physical Therapy or Sports Medicine.
  3. Tyler Paszkowski has committed to study at Robert Morris University. He plans to major in Physical Therapy or Sports Science.
This milestone comes on the heels of an outstanding senior season. With the guidance of Cross Country Head Coach Justin Eskra and Cross Country Assistant Coach Shawn Ryan, all three athletes competed in the PIAA State Championships in October 2021. Samantha, Ryan, and Tyler have demonstrated the dedication, teamwork, and heart it takes to compete in athletics—and their lives beyond. They exemplify the spirit of Titan pride and the District wishes them all the best.
