Shaler Area to host Town Hall Meeting on opioid crisis
Shaler Area School District will host an educational Town Hall Meeting to address substance use and mental wellness on Thursday, April 20, from 6-9 p.m. at the Shaler Area High School, 381 Wible Run Road.

The Town Hall Meeting will shine a light on the growing opioid epidemic and provide information on warning signs, prevention, education, and treatment options. The event also will help teach appropriate ways to engage, support, and encourage at-risk individuals.

The Town Hall Meeting is being presented and organized by Trinity Wellness Services and will include interactive workshops addressing treatment resources, teen awareness and peer advocacy, family support and resources, and local community resources. These tables will be identified by color and open for the duration of the event.

The Town Hall Meeting also will include a Speaker Series to start at 7 p.m. in the high school auditorium. All speakers will be available after the event to answer questions. The speakers include:

Assistant Federal US Attorney
