Congratulations to the athletes on the wrestling and swimming teams who advanced to states.
Wrestling:
Ryan Sullivan took 2nd at the WPIAL Championships, and Ron D’Amico took 3rd. Both athletes are moving on to participate at the State Tournament in Hershey, March 9-11.
Swimming:
During the WPIAL Championships, Shaler Area swimmers broke five Shaler Area swimming records, three of which dated back to the 1980s.
The new Titan record holders include:- Jenna Stanton, Abby Banze, Emily Schaefer and Claire Blaha in the 200 medley relay
- Jenna Stanton, Claire Blaha, Sara Magoun and Olivia Dibon in the 200 freestyle relay
- Emily Schaefer also broke 3 records during the event: the 200 individual medley, 100 butterfly and 100 freestyle records
Emily Schaefer will be heading to the State Championship Meet on March 17.
