Remote learning survey request
May 18, 2020

Dear Shaler Area families,

We would like to thank you for your continued support.  The commitment that our students and families have shown to our remote learning plan is nothing short of remarkable.  As you all know, these difficult times forced school districts and families across the country to respond to mandated school closures in an unprecedented way.

Our administration, teachers and support staff continue to be committed to providing a high-quality educational program that our families have come accustomed to.  While learning may look different, we know that our students continue to progress in our academic programming.

As we look to improve and enhance our remote learning in the immediate and foreseeable future, we have partnered with the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) and BrightBytes to learn more about how our community is responding to teaching and learning remotely. We want to hear how you and your child(ren) are adjusting during this unprecedented time and learn how the district can better support you.

We are asking parents in grades K-12 and students in grades 2-12 to provide input on this survey. The survey will take no more than 5-10 minutes to complete. If you have children in more than one school, please complete the survey for each child.

We will be collecting survey responses from May 18-29, 2020. The survey is available by visiting https://bbyt.es/GM4UXLKCQ.  Once there, select the Parent and/or Student survey and then select your school from the drop-down menu.

Thank you so much for quickly providing this critical information. We want to do everything we can to ensure you and your student(s) are successful during this time. We appreciate you!

If you have questions, or run into any difficulty, please contact Dr. Bryan O’Black, Assistant Superintendent by emailing [email protected]
