Each summer the school district staff of custodians and maintenance employees prepare our buildings for the next school year. The work includes cleaning, scrubbing, waxing floors, repairing furniture and buildings, moving all types of equipment and supplies, as well as maintaining the buildings and grounds. Summer employees work with the regular staff to accomplish these tasks.

Work hours are 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. If you are not available to work Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday between 6:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. please do not apply. Summer workers will be allowed one week (5 days) of unpaid vacation. Compensation: New hires $9.00/hour. Returning workers $9.25/hour.
If there is an overwhelming response, a lottery will be used to rank the names of eligible applicants. Applicants must be a resident of Shaler Area and 16 years of age as of June 14, 2021.
