Congratulations to Shaler Area swimmers Abby Banze and Dillon Brown who broke two school swimming records during the 2016 AAA WPIAL Swim Championships.- Abby Banze broke the 100 breaststroke record previously set in the 2005-06 season by swimming a 1:09.49.
- Dillon Brown broke the 100 backstroke record previously set over 35 years ago during the 1978-79 season by swimming a 53.49.

Dillon Brown also qualified in the 100 backstroke for the 2016 PIAA Swimming Championships to be held March 16-19, 2016 at Bucknell University. This is the first time a Shaler swimmer has qualified for States since the 2005-06 season.
