Shaler Area crowns 2022 Homecoming King
Shaler Area School District hosted Homecoming 2022 on Saturday, Sept. 24, with the theme United Sounds of America.
 
Shaler Area's Homecoming parade kicked off the festivities with floats and banners; the S.A. Fightin’ Titan Marching Band with the Majorettes, Dance Team and Silk Line; S.A. Cheerleaders; fire trucks, antique cars, alumni groups, dance schools, and much more! The parade traveled down Mount Royal Boulevard from St. Bonaventure Church to Titan Stadium.
 
During halftime, Christian Mendoza, who represents the sophomores, was named Homecoming King for their award-winning float that placed 1st by less than 5 points. Second place went to the senior class, and in 3rd place was the performing arts. 
 
Students also were recognized for their creativity and hard work in the banner competition.
