Shaler Area High School senior Zoe Babbit has been recognized by the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association as one of the top vocalists in the state by being selected for its All-State Chorus. 

 

Zoe Babbit (soprano 1) started this journey in September when she auditioned into the PMEA District Chorus. Her score ranked her in the top spot as a soprano 1 and qualified her for the PMEA Region Chorus. She submitted a second audition, and again, was the top scoring soprano 1 from the Region advancing her to All-State Chorus. Only six singers from each vocal section are selected for this prestigious honor.

 

Zoe is a member of the Honors Chamber Choir and will take the stage as Julia in the high school’s spring musical “The Wedding Singer” in April 2021.

 

Zoe will represent Shaler Area and the state as part of the All-State Chorus, which will perform virtually during the 2021 PMEA All-State Conference April 14-17, 2021. Zoe will have the opportunity to work with renowned conductor, Dr. Joy Meade from Messiah University, who will lead the all-state chorus.
