Too Sick for School?

When is your child too sick for school? 

 

 A fever of 100 degrees or more Keep your child home until the fever is gone for 24 hours without using Tylenol, Ibuprofen (Motrin, Advil) or aspirin
 Vomiting Keep your child home until the vomiting stops and your child can eat a light meal
 Strep throat Keep your child home for the first 24 hours after starting antibiotics
 Pain from injuries or procedures Keep your child home until pain can be controlled by Tylenol, Ibuprofen (Motrin, Advil) or aspirin
 Severe cold or persistent cough Keep your child home until the coughing decreases
 After a night your child slept poorly  Make sure your child is well rested for school
