What is ESEA TITLE I?
ESEA - The Elementary and Secondary Education Act is the largest Federal Aid Program for our nation’s schools. State Educational Agencies (SEAs) send the money to school districts based on the number of low-income families. The purpose of Title I is to provide all children with an opportunity to receive fair, equitable, and a high-quality education. What is the TitleI-Like program?
“Title I-Like” is a provision in the Title I law that permits districts to use district and state funds to provide remedial services to children in schools not serviced by Title I.

The school serviced by the Title I-Like program is Scott Primary.
What is the goal of Title I?
The goal is to provide each child with the necessary skills, reinforcement, encouragement, and confidence to insure continuous development and interest in, not just reading, but in all the content areas. It is our expectation to have each child feel comfortable and excited about learning in the regular classroom and learning in general.
