Getting to know me....
I have been teaching for many years! I taught 2nd grade for many of those years in New Jersey, but I have also taught 4th grade in Massachusetts and Kindergarten through the years. This will be my 9th year teaching 3rd grade and it is my favorite grade to teach! I am so excited for all the fun things we will do together in 3rd grade.
I have been married to my wonderful husband for 34 years and have two daughters. My oldest daughter works as a biomedical engineer here in Pittsburgh and my youngest daughter is a financial analyst in Maryland. My family loves to go to Penn State football games, play tennis, hike, bike, go to movies and travel to the beach. My favorite beach is Ocean City Maryland because I love all of the yummy food, games, and rides on the boardwalk.
My favorite thing to do is read! I am in a book club with friends and I can't pass a book store without stopping in. We read wonderful books in 3rd grade - I can't wait to share them with you.

How to succeed in 3rd grade:
Coming to school with a positive attitude and willingness to try are key ingredients to success. To me, our classroom is a home and we are a family. Through mutual respect we will work together to improve our reading comprehension, learn new math skills, make new friends and support each other with kindness and caring throughout the year.
