Shaler Area junior accepted into the All-State Jazz Ensemble

Adam Bleil, a junior at Shaler Area High School, is one of 16 students from across the state who was accepted into the all-state jazz ensemble to perform at the 2015 Pennsylvania Music Educators Association All-State Conference.

Adam, a trumpet player, went through a competitive audition process in December to be selected. He is the only musician in the ensemble from western Pennsylvania and will perform in the jazz ensemble at the PMEA All-State Conference at Hershey, on March 25-28.

Adam is a talented musician who this year has had a number of musical accomplishments, including being in the PMEA District I West Honors Band, PMEA Region I State Band, PMEA Honors Jazz, Allegheny Valley Honors Band, PMEA Honors Band, Shaler Area’s “Mary Poppins” musical, Shaler Area Advanced Jazz, Shaler Area Wind Ensemble and River City Youth Brass Band. Adam also is Drum Major of the “Titan” Marching Band.
