Shaler Area High School students named to PMEA Honors Band and Chorus

Shaler Area School District is proud to announce five Shaler Area High School students have been selected to participate in the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association Honors ensembles.

Paige Milavec and Dan Bitter, both juniors, and Talha Lone, a sophomore, were accepted into the PMEA Honors Choir. Paige Milavec is a soprano 2, Talha Lone is a tenor 2, and Dan Bittner is a bass 1.

The Shaler Area students will perform with the PMEA Honors Choir on Oct. 30-31 at Seton Hill University.

Seniors Adam Bleil and Sam Panza have been selected to participate in the PMEA Honors Band.

Adam Bleil and Sam Panza auditioned to participate in the ensemble earlier this month and competed against more than 400 students from 60 different schools. The Shaler Area students will perform with the PMEA Honors Band on Nov. 22 at Bethel Park High School.

PMEA District 1 serves Allegheny, Fayette, Greene, Washington and Westmoreland counties.
