Congratulations to the Shaler Area Competitive Cheer squad for winning the PIAA championship title while competiting in Hershey, Pa. in January 2018. The team competed in the preliminary round on January 19, 2018, against 44 teams and advanced to the finals. On Saturday, January 20, Shaler Area competed against 14 teams in the finals. This is the first time Shaler Area has won the PIAA cheerleading championship title after coming close in 2015 with a 2nd place win. The team will compete for the national title during February in Orlando, Fla.
