The Shaler Area Middle School held a Food Drive from
November 2nd – 9th to collect food and money for the
North Hills Community Outreach. The students competed in a friendly
competition between their social studies classes for a chance to win a private
pizza party lunch. Mr. Bacco’s 4th period class won for the 7th
graders with a total of 280 items and Mr. Gray’s 3rd period class
won with 110 items. The staff also joined into the competition and the
total combined amount donated equated to 2,320 items, with $633 being part of
that total.
