Dear Scott Primary families:
Thank you all for your support as we kicked-off the new school year. We have had a wonderful first week of settling in our new home. We are excited to have our students utilize the entire facility, so to expedite the process, the district is granting permission to contractors to work during the school day to finish the gym.
The safety of our students is our top priority, so the district has established procedures for the workers who will be Scott Primary during the school day.
- Contractors will provide the following clearances prior to working on site: Act 34 Criminal History Report, Act 151 (Child Abuse) Clearance Statement, and Act 114 FBI Criminal Background Checks.
- Contractors will use the Raptor system to enter the building each day.
- Contractors will remain in designated areas and restricted from other areas of the building.
- Contractors will only use the portable construction toilets located on site and will not be permitted to use the restroom facilities in the school.
These procedures have been reviewed by School Resource Officer Frank Spiker, district administration, the construction manager, and me. Contractors will begin working during the school day as soon as the district has received and verified their clearances, and the work to finish the gym floor is expected to be completed by mid-September.
