Reserve Primary to operate on a normal schedule for August 29
Dear Reserve Primary School Parents/Guardians:

As you have heard by now, the Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority (PWSA) has issued a flush and boil water advisory for 19 Pittsburgh neighborhoods including the Borough of Millvale and Reserve Township. PWSA says this is precautionary and temporary due to deficiencies in the cover of the Lanpher Reservoir that could compromise water quality.

We have consulted with local authorities along with PWSA and have determined that Reserve Primary School will operate on a normal schedule for Tuesday, August 29, 2017. As a district, we are providing bottled water to our students and staff during the school day. In addition, our maintenance department will be covering water fountains at the school until we hear that the boil order is lifted. Please note that school bathrooms are not affected, and students are able to wash their hands. Additionally, The Nutrition Group, our food service contractor, will be preparing all food for both breakfast and lunch off site.

If you have any questions, please contact the main office at Reserve Primary by calling 412-492-1200 ext. 7500.

Sincerely,

Sean C. Aiken
Superintendent of Schools
