A Taste of Shaler Area incorporates student talent to benefit academic funds
The Shaler Area Education Foundation's annual "A Taste of Shaler Area" event kicks off with a new twist of live art demonstrations and music performances from dedicated Shaler Area High School students alongside food festivities to benefit an academic cause.

Shaler Area Middle School, located at 1810 Mt. Royal Blvd., will host the third "A Taste of Shaler Area" event from 6 to 9 p.m. on March 24, 2018.

Shaler Area Education Foundation has organized this event in support of educational needs and curricular advancement of Shaler Area students. The funds raised through this event will help to purchase necessary resources and to create additional opportunities for students at Shaler Area.

This year, the night will display talents of art and music students with their program “Today, Tomorrow, and Always.” The high school’s own art students plan to create art non-stop throughout the evening, incorporating their skills in painting, sketching, sculpting, and digital art. Students from Shaler Area High School’s Performing Arts Department are excited to bring their talents to the stage with a series of vocal and instrumental performances.

This community event will feature food samples from a variety of local restaurants around the Shaler Area community, as well as a silent auction. Additionally, the event will feature silent auction items as well as the Shaler Area High School’s Art Department's student artwork available for sale to guests.

Tickets can be purchased at the door and presale tickets are available at the district Central Administrative Offices, 1800 Mt. Royal Blvd, and Shaler Area High School Activities Office, 381 Wible Run Road. The cost is $20 for adults and $10 for students.

Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to spend the night benefitting academic excellence in the district while supporting the talents of Shaler Area students!
