The Shaler Area Class of 2018 Commencement program will begin at 7 p.m. on Friday, June 1, at Titan Stadium. For friends and family who cannot attend in person, we are happy to announce that the Class of 2018 Commencement program will be broadcast live on YouTube for the first time in the school’s history. To access the video, tune in to the Shaler Area Television YouTube channel at 7 p.m. on Friday, June 1. The channel can be found by searching for “Shaler Area Television” on YouTube or through this link:

If the live stream does not start automatically at 7 p.m., please refresh the browser. The video will be accessible on the site after the commencement ceremony has concluded, however, there will be a delay between the end of the live stream and when the video is permanently uploaded to the channel.
In the event of inclement weather, the following procedure will be followed:
- Cancellation decisions will be made by 5:30 p.m.
- Decisions will be announced on radio and TV stations (KDKA, WTAE, and WPXI) between 4:30 and 5:30 p.m.
- Please check the district website or call the information line at 412-492-1200 for additional information from 5:30-6:30 p.m.
- Inclement weather dates are June 2 and 3:
- June 2 – 11 a.m., 2 p.m., 7 p.m.
- June 3 – 2 p.m.
- If Shaler Area is not able to hold commencement on one of the above dates/times, it will be canceled and diplomas will be mailed.
