Registration is open for Shaler Area’s Summer STEAM Camp
Registration opened for Shaler Area’s Summer STEAM Camp on May 9.
The STEAM Camp will be held Monday through Thursday, June 11 to 14, 2018, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. The camp is open to Shaler Area students entering fourth through seventh grade.
Students have the option to choose from a variety of sessions that focus on science, technology, engineering, art, and math. This year’s camp features a number of new sessions including: “Egg Drop Challenge,” which gives students the opportunity to build a contraption to protect an egg; “Lights, Camera, Action,” which focuses on video production; and “Future HGTV Stars,” which gives students the opportunity to explore Shaler Area High School’s kitchen classroom to make their own pizza and technology education equipment to use the CNC machines.
