Shaler Area is proud to announce five Shaler Area middle school and high school students were accepted into the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association District 1 Junior High Band.
Grace Cosentino (9th grade) - Clarinet, SAHS
Rachel Scierka (9th-grade) - Percussion, SAHS
Kara Yarnot (8th-grade) - Clarinet, SAMS
Matthew Franks (8th-grade) - Trumpet, SAMS
Margarite Boggs (7th-grade) - Trumpet, SAMS
The PMEA Junior High District Band is made up of students in 7th, 8th and 9th grade. These students will rehearse and perform at Montour High School on March 6-7, 2020, with guest conductor William Owens, renowned clinician and composer.
