A total of 15 Shaler Area students were accepted into Allegheny Valley Honors Bands. The Allegheny Valley band festival will be held at Pine-Richland High School on January 4 & 5, 2018.  The guest conductor for the Senior High Band will be Jonathan Helmick (Slippery Rock University) and the guest conductor for the Junior High Band will be Christopher Marra (Seton Hill University). These students will spend two full days rehearsing the music with the guest conductors and then showcase their talents at the concert performance on January 5 at 7 p.m.
