Shaler Area is proud to announce it is the recipient of a $45,000 grant through the School Safety and Security Committee program.
The School Safety and Security Committee established within the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency approved a total of $53.7 million in school safety and security grants to 524 school entities and $7.5 million in community violence prevention/reduction grants to 30 organizations located throughout the Commonwealth.
Shaler Area will use the grant funds to update safety and security technologies across the district.
