In 4th grade general music, students will continue to build on their musical skills through listening, creating, performing, and moving to a variety of styles of music.  World drums, Orff instruments, and recorders will be utilized during classes to improve music reading and writing skills.  Students will also learn to sing with healthy, age-appropriate voices.  Some of the themes covered in Mrs. Hoffmann's class will be:

September: World Music
October: World Drumming
November: Autumn and Nature
December: The Nutcracker
January: Experimenting with Found Sound
February: Jazz History
March: Music In Our Schools Month
April: Rock Band Project
May: Musical Theater

4th grade students will continue their work with recorder, which they began in 3rd grade.  Students' recorders should remain in Mrs. Hoffmann's music room throughout the year.  If a new recorder is needed for any reason (lost, broken, etc.) an order form for a replacement recorder is available on this page.
